Pretty Polished Pets

Service Agreement

By booking an appointment with Pretty Polished Pets, you agree to the following terms:

1. Services & Pricing

All prices are estimates and subject to change based on:

  • Coat condition (including matting)

  • Size and breed

  • Behavior and handling requirements

  • Time required to complete the service

  • Estimates provided prior to service are non-binding.

Final pricing is determined at the time of service.

Severely matted coats may require shaving for the health and safety of the dog. Additional charges will apply.

2. Flea & Tick Policy

Pretty Polished Pets maintains a flea-free environment.

  • Dogs with visible fleas or ticks may be refused service.

  • If fleas/ticks are discovered during grooming:

    • A treatment fee will be applied OR

    • Service may be discontinued/rescheduled

  • If the Client cannot be reached within a reasonable time (e.g., 5 minutes), Pretty Polished Pets is authorized to proceed with treatment and apply applicable fees.

3. Health Disclosure

Client agrees to disclose all known:

  • Medical conditions

  • Injuries or sensitivities

  • Medications

  • Behavioral concerns

Failure to disclose may result in:

  • Termination of service

  • Additional charges

  • Limited liability for outcomes related to undisclosed conditions

4. Behavior & Safety / Right to Refuse Service

Pretty Polished Pets reserves the right to:

  • Refuse service at any time

  • Stop grooming if a dog poses a safety risk

Safety measures may include:

  • Muzzling

  • Specialized handling techniques

Additional fees may apply for dogs requiring extra handling.

If grooming is stopped:
👉 Client is responsible for payment for time/services already performed.

5. Risk Acknowledgment & Limited Liability

Client understands that grooming involves inherent risks, including but not limited to the following:

  • Cuts, nicks, scratches

  • Nail quickening

  • Skin irritation, sensitivity, or exposure resulting from matting removal or pre-existing coat conditions

By agreeing to services:
👉 Client assumes these risks

👉 Pretty Polished Pets shall not be liable for injuries resulting from pre-existing conditions, matting, behavioral issues, or undisclosed health concerns

6. Veterinary Emergency Authorization

In the event of a medical emergency:

  • Pretty Polished Pets is authorized to seek veterinary care if Client cannot be reached

  • Client agrees to be financially responsible for all veterinary costs

7. Vaccination Requirements

Client affirms that:

  • Dog is current on required vaccinations

  • Rabies vaccination is up to date

Pretty Polished Pets reserves the right to request proof at any time.

8. Appointment, Cancellation & Late Policy

  • 24-hour notice required for cancellations/rescheduling

  • Appointments held for 15 minutes only

  • Late arrivals may be canceled

  • Pretty Polished Pets reserves the right to charge:

  • Late fees

  • Missed appointment fees (if implemented later)

  • Repeated cancellations, no-shows, or unsafe pet behavior may result in refusal of future services.”

9. Satisfaction Policy

Client must notify Pretty Polished Pets within 72 hours of any concerns.

  • Reasonable adjustments may be offered

  • No refunds are guaranteed

10. Media Release

Client grants permission for:

  • Photos/videos of their pet

  • Use in marketing, website, and social media

No personal identifying information will be shared without consent.

11. Payment Authorization

Client agrees:

  • Client agrees to pay all charges incurred at the time of service.

  • Payment is due at time of service unless otherwise arranged

  • Final price may differ from estimate

  • Any applicable fees will be disclosed when possible

12. Indemnification

Client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pretty Polished Pets from any claims, damages, or expenses from:

  • Claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

    • Client’s failure to disclose information

    • Dog’s behavior

    • Pre-existing conditions

13. Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.

14. Agreement & Electronic Consent

By booking an appointment or checking the agreement box:

  • Client affirms they are the legal owner or authorized agent

  • Client agrees to all terms

  • Client acknowledges this constitutes a legally binding electronic signature

This agreement applies to all current and future services.
